Rushcutters Bay is a beautiful spot with decent parking, close to the city and with good access to the Eastern Suburbs. This makes it one of the most popular public wharfs on Sydney harbour for charters and cruises. Most boats can not access the private Marina so they use Yarranabbe wharf just north of the marina.

Getting there

This is the closest Eastern suburbs wharf to the city for most boats. Note this wharf is shallow so suits the smaller sized boats like catamarans. Often larger motor yachts will pret Double bay or Rose bay. It is located inside Rushcutters Bay just past the yacht club marina in a pleasant parkland seting. Note you'll need to walk past the Yacht club as the pontoon is in the middle of the park nearby.

Parking

Street parking around the park (metered). Plus around the redidential areas nearby but can be a steep walk. Arrive early as it can be busy on weekends.

Public transport

Bus routes along New South Head Road. Edgecliff station is around 15 mins downhill walk.

Local amenities

Liquorland has a bottle shop just over the road from the park on Bayswater Rd near the traffic lights. There is a cafe just near the yacht club.

Loading & logistics

Good flat access through the park. Please be ready with all your supplies ready for a good time.

There may be fees involved in picking up from Rushcutters Bay, enquire for more details. Y There is some street parking on New Beach Road as well as the surrounding streets within walking distance (you might have to go over the hill).
